maids in waiting... as if!

believe it or not... 730 days can zoom you by just as fast as the weekend!
well... maybe NOT the weekend but it sure seemed like it was just a couple of moons ago!
and now i'm back to my search for Teban's NEXT TOP Helper.... keekeekee...



but it's really NO laughing matter... this searching thingy...



times have changed.
rules have changed.
the playing/searching field have changed.

it's not that easy to find a filipino FDW with experience.
their expectation have changed quite a bit, even those who have only worked for a year or 2 in Spore (i'm not even convinced of their working experienced back in their home country)
they are more demanding in terms of starting pay and off days and handphones and so on and so forth...

but i digress.

yes, my search for my replacement has been slow to fruition and time is not on my side.
those that i had shortlisted - 90% of them are unable to commence work. majority are faced with passport validity issue (need to have at least 30 months validity), while those that are available, are keen to work for expats or overseas. obviously spore is NOT such a condusive working environment for them as compared to HK, Taiwan, US or EU.

i still limit my search to filipino FDW as the comments i read from the forums about maids from other nationality... just doesn't fit my requirement. and because of this limitation, the list of potential candidates also got shortened. for example:

*NEW direct hire - they takes at least 2 months, which we do not have that luxury of time to wait for processing, etc and there's no guarantee they can come.

*Transfer maids - i've tried but so far no LUCK. (i believe on hindsight, this could be a blessing!)

so yes, i have only myself to blame.... at least for now... until i get one confirmed before my current FDW flies off to smaland...

i surely hope GOD is listening to my plight...
