if only we are like children...

while the kids were busy hogging our Andriods last nite, i sneaked away quietly and decided to go online and watch my long overdue korean dramady (daddy hogged the sports channel on tv!).

i was only halfway through the FIRST Episode when Gaby came over.
he climbed onto my lap and said he wants 'star star'... watching his favourite 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star' on youtube lah. i told him later he can watch, after i finished my show. he obliged and sat on my lap, watching the show with me.

less than 10mins later - chloe came over and wanted to get up onto my lap as well but was pushed aside by gaby, who now has sole OWNERSHIP of both my laps since he was FIRST to conquer them. and before they both end up fighting over my lap, i had to stop the girl from climbing and this made her upset.

in between getting upset with me and his brother, she blurted out "I Don't Like You" and hit me on my arm. Wah piangz... i gave her the EVIL STARE for a good few seconds and then sternly questioned her action. Before she could answer her daddy called her over to the living room area. Lucky for her, else she'd get a BIG piece of my mind! Grrr...

and less than 5 minutes later, chloe came back again.
by then gaby was somewhere in the kitchen with the helper, hence she just decided to climb upto my lap without any hesitation.

the following was our conversation:
M : You don't like me, rite? Why still want to climb on my lap?
C : Just now I don't like you. Now I like mamii.
M : Why just now don't like me? And beat my hand some more hor?
C : Just now you naughty. Now you not naughty. I like mamii so much! (continue to manuveure her butt onto my lap)
M : Why mamii naughty?
C : ok, stop talking. we watch starfall ok?
M : -.-

so at the end of my short-lived ME time with my korean dramedy, both of them got to watch youtube and starfall while i ended up logging on to FB via my Andriod. sigh!

******************
children are fast in reacting to their emotions, and it shows on their faces and actions.
but they are equally fast at forgiving, or should i say, forgetting about the previous incidents and moved on to the next activities without bearing further grudges.

sometimes we too should act like children... and surely we can all STOP sweating over the small stuffs and be happy with the 'moment'.

if only we can learn to be like them more often...
