dirt can be fun too!

brought the kids to the reservoir for a late afternoon walk and we ended up at the sand pit the longest, as they found fun in getting down and dirty with sand play!

there was another indian boy playing alone in the sand pit, with his dad sitting nearby and he left a pile of sand building tools at another spot. being kids, mine just saw opportunity for PLAY and went ahead and took over those tools and played on. the indian dadday was kind enough to give us his silent consent by nodding to us.

hence the 2 kids played for almost 45 mins digging, shoving, piling, pouring, filling, etc... basically just getting all dirty and yet to their hearts' content!

and you might ask why the other indian boy who was playing alone didn't come over to join us?
well... after a few minutes of observation, it was cleared that this older boy (i think about 11 years old) is special - his mental development may be slightly delayed (among his peers) but he sure has a BIG heart and a BIG smile!

PS: you can see a tiny shot of that indian boy in picture #4, just behind chloe in the background.
