mon cherie @ 15months... looking more toddlish than ever! :D

vital stats update:
wt - 8.5kg
ht - 78cm

some of her new milestones:

* new tastes
a) tangerines & mandarin oranges (CNY season mah...), grapes, fresh coconut juice, sugar cane juice, apricot, prune
b) pomelo and grapes
c) sugar cane juice, fresh coconut juice
d) raisins, apricot and cranberries
e) ngor hiang (without the beancurd skin)

g) more leafy green vegetables

* mobility
a) getting better at walking on her own, with or without holding on to objects for balancing.
b) able to squat from standing position and stand up on her own.
c) improvements on her flip and crawl, though still a little slow on the latter. (thinks she prefers to walk)
d) open and close the kitchen/living room cabinets, wardrobe and drawers.
e) take out and put back items from her toy storage boxes
f) pick up objects from the floor by bending forward (not squating)

* other physical adeptability - via imitation of actions or instructions:
a) finally using her hand to mouth in gesturing 'flying kisses' when asked to do so.
b) clap both hands by herself when she hears music or when asked to do so and also 'knock' on objects when asked.
c) shake her head, body and butt when she hears music - trying to dance her own styles!
d) points to items that she wants to have/eat/touch/go, etc.
e) able to turn round and round at one location (doing the hocky-pocky??)
f) will lean her head against your face/cheek when asked for a 'kiss' or will open her mouth and come closer to your face/cheek. (usually with her cheeky smile)
g) will nod her head vigoriously when we asked her "DO YOU LIKE THIS?" or "YES OR NO?"
h) will give hugs to mommy when she sees me just back from work at the doorstep.
i) will point to her 'eye' when she hears the "I LOVE YOU" song from her playgroup.
j) will open her mouth and use her hand to tap a few times while saying 'ah ah ah...'; gesturing "yawn", sign that she wants to sleep

* vocal development:
a) contiues to blabbers and talk gibberish with louder voices, more demanding.
b) calls both parents "MAMAMAMA" and will correct herself when taught to call daddy "PAPA".

* character building:
a) still throwing tantrums when she doesn't get what she wants/do.
b) cries her way out of diaper-changing (each time we put her lying down, she will cry and turn and kick till the whole diapering process is over!)
c) will pretend to 'cry' if she wants to be carried, etc... to get our attention.

We're happy that despite her going through 2 jabs recently (MMR & Chicken Pox Vaccines), mon cherie didn't show any signs of fever and was as strong and healthy and cheerful as her usual self! :)
