what's with the berry long queue?

i think i have to get out more - to shopping malls and department stores - especially during the SALE or Festive Seasons! this weekend had been a really LONG one; not time-specific but the snaking Queue that we have to endure to get ourselves (me and chloe, to be specific) 'happy'.

first off we went to the much awaited mini princess year-end sale. it was a crazy sight as by the time we reached there, an hour later from their official opening hours, there was already a snaking queue for the cashier while the tiny shop was filled with moms and daughters and lots of merchandise scattered all over floor or at the wrong place. but never mind that - the 50% store-wide discounts for that 3-hour is enough reason to ignore all these mess.

and yes, after almost 2hrs of digging, grabbing, sweeping, deciding and blah blah blah, i managed to get quite a few stuffs that i chloe would love... and kudos to daddy for Q-ing up while we shopped! and here's our loot of the day!

the lovely ballet dress was a gift from godma to chloe, who also joined us for the shopping spree!

after lunch (thank goodness there was a very short Q) we rushed back to yew tee point for the fruitilicious christmas show - strawberry shortcake berry bubblelicious show. it was chloe's first close encounter and she was apprehensive at first but slowly warmed up to the show.

waiting eagerly for the show to start but not sure what to expect!

gaby seems to be the only boy seated around our area but he didn't care coz he was so... happy to see so many kids around him!

the warming up part - but chloe was not participating as she didn't know what was going on as the kids around her was shouting, etc.

finally she got up on her feet to join in when all the 'berries' were in sight and dancing!

gaby was so mesmerized by the whole dancing on stage that he didn't even noticed the bubbles around him! he sure had fun!

and last but not least, chloe managed to have her picture taken with the strawberry-land characters - she was so.... scared but managed to smile at daddy while this picture was taken.

it was all about having TIME on hand to queue, wait and enjoy that very short-lived (15mins or less?) performance. tiring for the adults for sure but for the kids, it was something they will remember for a long time to come!

conclusion - berry tired but berry glad we did it for our kids' sake!
