gaby's growing.. and he's growing fast.
i was just browsing through his baby photos the other day and oh my, what a difference he looks now. one thing's for sure, he has better features now than when i first laid eyes on him when he was 2 days old... oh, don't remind me of his flat white button nose! :)
and being #2 is not that bad - he has a full time companion (my great helper) and a ready playmate (whether he likes it or not), has lots of toys and clothings (pink is not a sissy color for boys!), got more attention from his gramps (what can i say, he has a Penis) and gets tonnes of tv time watching Hi-5. Chloe only started watching commercials/cartoons at 16months!
character-wise, he's more independant and can be smarter at judging situations. some milestones so far:
* he brisk-walk most of the time and have recently started to walk tip-toed.
* he climbs all over - the bed, the sofa, the kiddie chair, the dining chair and now, even the glass coffee table!
* he has also learnt to kick ball, climb up & down stairs with support and more grooves in his dance moves (no longer just the head-banging rocker style, thank goodness!).
* he claps, stick out his tongue and points with his index fingers, self feed tiny biscuits using his fingers.
* he can doodle on erasable board and paper.
* he loves taking out tissues from the box and knows where to discard his soiled nappies (into the bin).
overall he's better at adapting to change - especially when it comes to new food.
but he also knows how to use his secret weapon (with those sad puppy eyes and ready to cry/scream on cue when the situation is not in his favour) when he wants attention but will also give his ready-whenever-necessary BIG cheery smiles and hugs.
and all he wants is for someone (or ANYONE available) to bring him downstairs to see the buses go by, watch the birds and cat in the park and to let him roam about on the pavement; with or without his shoes! :)
