the ordeal that came with the dress

happily showing off her new 'dress', temporarily on loan from the childcare.

moncherie threw up after lunch while at the CC and since I didn't pack an extra set of clothings for her (it was a half-day session), the teacher changed her into one of the smallest available uniform for her. i'm sure moncherie must have felt super happy - coz when i enrolled her last june, she was too petite for even a size S uniform (dress). so all she got were 2 sets of PE attire.

anyway, back to the main point - this dress.... despite giving her a clean change after she soiled the dress she wore this morning, ended up giving us one hell of an order for 2 days!

the series of event that came after she wore the dress:

day one (30.jan.10)
1. tiny bump on her left cheek - i dismissed it as some insect bite, rubbed rapaid cream and send her off for her afternoon nap.
2. she woke up with a face-full of bumps and red patches and slight fever - and she kept crying and scratching her face.
3. brought her to the nearest GP (her pead & our normal GP's clinics were closed at that time) and was told it was skin allergic. got some creams and medicine for her cough and fever.
4. roller-coaster of high fever (hit a high of 40.2deg C) and itchness -the red patches and bumps spreaded all over her shoulders, back, buttocks and tummy by 9pm

day two (31.jan.10)

1. red "butterfly" patch on her chest, other areas have subsided.
2. lingering fever, but she's showing signs of recovery with her cirpy voice
3. back to feverish night and bad cough and at least 3 more vomit sessions during the day.

day three (1.feb.10)
1. no more red patches nor bumps
2. lingering fever

mommy's just thankful that the red patches did not leave any markings behind as it was quite unsightly. and daddy will be boiling some 岭羊水 for moncherie to help reduce the heatiness of her body. we're just hoping that she will recover from her bouts of fever soon.
