walking in mommy's shoes

i was clearing my shoe cabinet 2 nights ago and lined up all the high heels shoes which i can no longer wear (all thanks to my 2 pregnancies which increased my feet by almost 2 sizes up!). while i was pondering which ones to donate and which ones to keep, chloe came over and wanted to try them on.

well, like all mommies, i let her try 'em on - coz it's cute that she wanted to try on mommy's shoes, what more my high heel shoes!

she was a little apprehensive at first, held tightly onto my hand and walked ever so slowly, and quite cartoony too. but once she got the hang of it, oh my.... she walked non-stop from the living room, to the bedroom and to the kitchen! and of course, there were bouts of crying when i asked her to stop wearing the shoes and get ready for bed.

and the next morning, when we were getting her ready to go childcare and her daddy asked her which pair of shoes she wanted to wear (she will only wear what SHE wants to, not anyhow let daddy or mommy choose, okay...), she said "BIG SHOOS" and started throwing a bit of tantrum when her daddy gave her the 'big girl' barbie shoes. apparently, she wants to wear mommy's high heels! argh....

anyway, to cut the story short - mommy raised her voice, auntie M (my helper) strongly stated the shoes are not for school and daddy almost want to whack moncherie's butt for throwing a bad tantrum early in the morning...

and so, off we went rushing to the childcare, with my gal wearing her own barbie shoes... :)

**next time, i better do my personal spring cleaning when the gal is asleep!

i caught a few snippets of your book on mobistories - very colorful, am sure it's just as interesting to read too!
