when we reached the childcare center, most of the kids had just woke up from their long afternoon naps (it was a rainy cooling afternoon) and was about to go for their teabreaks of mini buns and cups of milo.
after the kids had their tea and buns, we started the mini birthday celebration with chloe's classmates and another batch from nursery class (basically those within the 18m - 33m age group).
part of the goodie bags i prepared for her - printed a self-made strawberry shortcake card for each kids.
her birthday cake - strawberry shortcake theme was a last minute decision...
the girls from her toddler class and some from nursery 1... everyone looked so 'stoned' coz they have yet to warm up to the event... plus they just woke up from their long naps.
oh dear, why are they all poking their cheeks? having toothache just by looking at the cake??
oh.... they are POSING for the camera... the nursery girls (last row) knows how to smile at the same time while the toddler class only know how to poke poke their cheeks! hahahhaa...
(that's teacher jenny at the left, the one chloe was most afraid initially when she first joined the class but now is ALL over her! :p )
these 2 are chloe's buddies - Joelle and Zhi Qing. Her other best friend Rainie was unfortunately absent from class today.
and all the boys from her group... she almost want to get off the chair when they surrounded her. but thank goodness the light from the candles distracted her quite a bit :D
time to make a wish...
and let's blow the candles out!
having a wonderful time chowing down her chocolate cake... trying to say thank you to mommy with her pouty little mouth. :D
and what's left of the 2kg cake at the end of the celebration...
indeed... happy 2nd birthday, my darling chloe.
