new discoveries!

when staying home with 2 kiddos over the long weekend, there are bound to be new discoveries and fun... and these are really just precious moments to be cherished!!

discovery #1 - "ne ne pok"
chloe dug out a pack of old bras which mommy intend to discard. she took it to her corner (between the bed and the side table near the window) and sat there quietly but busy exploring the bras. when both mommy and aunty M went to look for her and found her, she was shrieking and laughing at the same time and even showed us HOW to wear the bra with the cup over her chest! it was a hilarious moment indeed - too bad mommy didn't have her digicam on hand to take a picture! hahaha...
oh dear... so young (at 22months) and already interested in wearing a bra...

discovery # 2 - wat potty training??
mommy tried to let chloe go diaperless over the long weekend at home again. this time round, there are slight improvements - at least she will 'announce' to us that she has peed... but she'll point and say 'mamamiiii.... ngg ngggg....' to the pool of urine on the floor and her wet panty *slap forehead*. she is still confuse about shh shh and ngg ngg...
and we finally got her to sit on the little potty (without running away but screamed a few times before willingly sat down) and do her business ONCE and she only managed to poop ONE little miserable (but super smelly!!) poo in the potty just to please us.
i guess the potty training still has a long long way to go...

PS: got chloe 3 training pants but all were too BIG for her petite size... sigh... still have to wait for her to grow a little bigger (fatter!) to wear them.

discovery #3 - violent little moo moo
not that gaby's really violent but he's acting restless and irritable due to his teething stage right now. when you give him a teether or anything that is within his reach, he will grab them with fervour and start to stuff them into his mouth and munch and crunch while both his feet will be struggling to also join in the 'fun' - attempt to kick at the object as well. and he's super good at pulling hair too - poor mommy, chloe & aunty M are all his victims!

discovery #4 - another glutton in the house...
yes, gaby has started eating cereal for the past couple of weeks and we had given him some new tastes like banana, carrot, pumpkin, potatoe, apple and even tiny bits of bread! despite reading up that we should be giving them one taste at a time (in case of allergic reaction, etc), it seems that gaby is adjusting well and even showed keen interest whenever he sees the little spoon in front of him!
and even after being fed, he'd still show us his swallowing motion when he sees our food on the table!
oh dear... seems like we have another glutton in the making! :)

discovery #5 - welcome to the "ah sou" club
while grocery shopping at ntuc, mommy ended up talking to one auntie in her 60's about the price, texture, absorption rate and quality of .... toilet rolls! it was a good 15mins of discussion on toilet rolls and their parting conversation ended with both 'aunties' decided NOT to buy but to wait for the promotional price before getting the item!
oh dear... mommy has become a real heartland ''ah sou' (auntie)!

discovery #6 - turning grey
not exactly 'new' discovery but mommy felt that her hair is growing faster and hence, her grey hair are showing faster too. (bleah) mommy doesn't like the idea of coloring her hair too often but it seems the herbal remedy given by her colleague to cure grey hair is working way too slow... and the brewed herbal drink can be a little hard (aka smelly) to swallow at times.
oh dear... should mommy wait for result or should she just go ahead and dye...
