2 good news:
1) my urine test today came back negative for trace of glucose. yippee
2) baby G's head has finally turned down! double yippeeee!!!
baby G's current vital stats:
baby G's wt - 1.276kg
HC - 21mm
growth scan went well today. the sonographer was very informative, sharing each task she was doing and also pointed out baby G's hair growth - she even mentioned that baby G's hair was sticking out wor... worst part is that i couldn't make out the picture on the screen at all... am so hopeless at that!!
but the best news was that baby G's growing well and healthy and we got a print out of his side view.
and now, for the (self-inflicted) worrying and (actual) bad news...
1) my total wt gain to date is at 60.2kg, a mere 6kg since this pregnancy was confirmed. am worried that baby G will be too small during delivery! :(
2) was told that i may have to opt for C-Sect as the risk for my previous C-Sect wound might 'burst' is 3 times higher than normal birth. need to meet with snr consultant to go through this option again in 2 weeks' time.
3) was asked to go for counselling for my GTT today and meet up with a dietician next week on my dietry planning.
4) had to take another blood test to check my total glucose level for the past 3 months
5) warned by nurse to refrain from taking durians from now till delivery - durians is high in sugar content and cholestrol... i need to control BOTH! (GAH! so unfair!!!)
6) and the need to do my glucose test once a week (7 times a day; before & after meals and last check before bed) for the next 2 weeks to monitor my actual glucose level - and need to PURCHASE a glucometer for this purpose! (poorer by almost $100 just for this tiny machine!!)
so for the sake of baby G, mommy had to make sacrifies (effort, time, $$$ and refrain from gluttony) and you have to make sure you gain more wt and be a good boy to mommy when i see you in Apr, ok?
