a visit to the PD

mon cherie was having dry cough for over a week and usually happens early in the morning, when she woke up from bed. at first we thought it could be that she was thirsty but later, the dry cough continued even after we gave her fluids.

so this morning, we headed down to see Dr. Agnes for her cough, as well as some mosquito bites on her back which suddenly appeared 2 days ago and was swollen. we couldn't take any chances as the dengue cases were still on the rise...

first up, to have her weight & height measurement taken.
my gal; as usual for this whole week... cried again when we put her on the wt scale.
3 pairs of hands were busy trying to console & wt her at the same time!

daddy: "darling, dun cry ya, daddy is here with you... auntie just wana help you take off your shoe, okie?"

Dr Agnes measuring her HC

aiyoh, those darting eyes... no wonder the PD said my gal looked 'serious'... i think she looked super-fierce and "buay song" in this photo! ahahaa....

next, time to check your little tummy...

we decided that mon cherie should also have her pneumococcal vaccination today. main reason being that we intend to put her in childcare when she turns 18m next year and we would rather take early precaution now.

when mon cherie saw the tiny blue container which Dr Agnes prepared and put on the table; she immediate turn around and grabbed me.... obviously she KNOWS she was going to get a jab! and started to show us her 'am going to cry' face. but lucky the whole episode was done pretty quick (despite 4 of us having to get the job done; the PD giving the jab, the nurse holding on to her arms, mommy hugging her close, and daddy giving her assuring rubs on her back and legs... so drama, rite?!)

mon cherie cried for a few seconds during the jab and was super generous with her tears too... and lucky mommy and daddy gave her loads of hugs and kisses afterwards to make her feel better.

keeping her mind off the earlier episode with rattle and rocker... she didn't want to let go of the rattle for the longest time!! and that face... reminds me of myself when i was a baby! ahahaa...

and finally time for breakfast... seems like she had gotten over the earlier eposide of the vaccination. :)

chloe: "where's my breakfast??"
