went for my pre-natal check up today.
got my NT Scan & triple test results back, all is a-OK, beanie's considered low risk from down syndrome.
next was to do a dropper test to hear beanie's heart beat. after placing the dropper at various locations for quite a few minutes (which seemed like a very l.o.n.g time); we were unable to trace any heart beat.
i was beginning to have negative thoughts (being the pessimist that i am) despite being assured that sometimes the heartbeat can be a little faint considering that i'm only in my 15wk. but my gynae sensed my worry (coz i think i looked pale after asking her numerous times if really there's NO heartbeat...) and asked me to stay back for another scheduled scan in the afternoon.
the 1.5hr wait for my scan was quite a torture. sms hb and told him, he called back immediate and asked all the details; yet assured me it may be the dropper problem and everything is going to be ok.
finally, went in for the scan and once the screen captured my beanie's heartbeat, i sigh a super BIG relief!!! PHEWWWWW........
and there it was, a strong heartbeat of 152bpm. and at the same time, i guess my beanie was also assuring me it's doing ok... and actively moving its limbs up and down.
the sonographer was saying by my next visit, i'd probably be able to feel beanie's movement! i can't wait!! :) and she's also kind enough to print copy of beanie's image for my record.
oh what a scare... but praise God everything turned out well.
beanie, mommy sayang you loads and loads ya... so you must grow strong and healthy and make sure you come closer when there's dropper test next time ya. dun scare mommy like dat again! :)
