i'm 9 months old

mommy & daddy loves you soooo..... much!!

** milestones **

* adventurous in tasting new food (another word = "tam chiak") but significant decrease in milk intake. last trip to PD; was informed that her wt is in the 25% growth and was given baby appetite booster.

* new taste of the month - chinese huai san, slightly mashed fried rice w minced prawn, soft noodles, mashed baked beans, bread w tint of butter/kaya/orange marmalade, hazelnut nutella, fruits (nectarine, grape, honeydew, rock melon, papaya, banana, dragon fruit, mango pudding), fastfood (BK breakfast croissont w egg, MOS fries w/out outer fried layer, KFC's mash potatoes w/out brown sause)

* mobility - 'baby steps' while being held with both arms, but have yet to flip, crawl nor pulling herself up to stand. cruising on her walker pretty well though and can sit unsupported for quite awhile either in her cot, masterbed, sofa, floor mat or during bathtime.

* still struggling to grasp her milk bottle for the whole feeding (prefers to be fed, little miss lazy!) and able to grab her biscuits and puts it in her mouth. still learning her pincer grip and pointing with her index finger.

* able to wave 'goodbye' when being prompted or when wanting to do herself

* able to pick up and let go of her toys at will and understands object permanence but still putting everything in her mouth (especially the remote controls!)

* language development - responds to own name, say 'mama' and 'mumm mumm' and understand 'no' when being told NOT to (but will protest with screams at first), babbles, 'sing' and laughs more easily and often.

* personality traits - enjoys play time especially "peek-a-boo", recognize her own reflection in the mirror (miss vainpot? :p), being swing up and around, and being tickled.

* expressive in letting us know her likes and dislikes; will kick and fuss and throw tantrum especially during nappy change

* social skills - wary of strangers and will cry if being left alone or knows that parents are going off when left at nanny's place in the morning. (sometimes will chase after us all the way to the main entrance in her walker; crying some more...)
